For Gubite yours varies and depend on what suit your style as there is the one of 15,000 and 20,000 respectively.

Note: This is for the previous session and in adding to that,changes might occur from the school management, as new hostels are currently at the finish level in Gubi campus for ladies.

ATBU RELEASE ITS OFFICIAL CIRCULAR FOR 2021/2022 SCREENING EXERCISE

This is to announce to the general public that the management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi (ATBU) has released its official screening circular exercise.

For those aspirant that apply Atbu has their first choice for 2021/2022 admission and scored the minimum of 160 and above for all courses and 230 point for MBBS in their UTME Jamb Examination and Direct entry candidate are here by to visit portal.atbu.edu.ng/screening and update their Bio-data.

Candidate are to Follow the following steps in completing and updating their Bio-data.

Things To Look Out For!

1. Generation RRR (Remedial Retriever Reference).

2. Log in with your Jamb registration number (user name) and password as password.

3. Candidate are to make payment of Two thousand Naira (2000) into the school account, using any bank branch.

4. Candidate are to filled the field required. And in case of students with awaiting result should indicate with "AR" and a recent passport size photograph.

5. Aspirant or candidate are to download the screening acknowledgement form which is to be use for physical screening.

6. The portal will remain open for two weeks, to allow candidate to fill in their Bio-data and is to commence on 25 October through 5 November 2021.

NOTE: Candidate should also note that, their original copy of their credentials will also be verified during the physical screening process.

Many of us don't know how the name Atbu or Abubakar Tafawa Balewa university came about. To some it was just a university established by the FG to enhance learning, while to others, especially those who live within Bauchi metropolis, will tell you it was named after the then prime-minister of Nigeria, prior to independent Sir. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.

Tafawa Balewa, served as Nigeria first and only prime-minister of the federation from August 30th 1957 - Jan 15 1966,(born Dec. 1912 - died 15 Jan 1966).

Aside the fact that atbu was carved out of Bauchi, it was also the home of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa university, Bauchi. Atbu was one of such universities to be established in 1980 by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Location And Mass Area Of Atbu.

The university is presently located at two different environment, first is in Yelwa campus (old campus) and second at Gubi campus (Main campus) along Bauchi - Nigin - Kano road. The mass area of the institution, is covering a total of 4,500 hectares of land, and somewhat 16 kilometres away from Bauchi town, on Bauchi - Nigin road.

With the main campus being the face of the university, Gubi campus currently has eight hostels block. Five active, two work in progress, to be completed soon and a remedial block. Three faculties, staff quarters, Senate building and School of Remedial's study.

In most cases, the origin of a logo derives from its history or physical features of its environment; whilst other is base on culture, which depicts its aim and aspirations, hope and goals envisioned.

Take the Nigeria Coat of Arm for example, the coat of arm is the logo of the country and it has its motto and its meaning.

The Eagle on the Nigeria coat of arm stands for strength. The green and white banded on top of shield represent the rich soil of the country. The black shield means fertile soil and the giant Y-shape depict the Niger - Benue Rivers. The horse at the sides of the shield represent dignity and the red flowers showcase the beauty of the Nation while the motto is "Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress.

Now just like the Coat of Arms, Atbu has its own, which represent what she stand for. The logo of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University is derived from the two sources above, showing its physical features and drawing attention to its aims and objective or goals.

The Atbu logo interpret the following: The logo near the top of the shield stands for the Nation's National color, emphasizing the federal nature of the institution. The white portion occupied by an open book is a common features of educational institution. The sun-ray at the top of national color means Education is the source of light. The lower part of the logo depicts the Inselbergs or hills in relief. The antenna at the communication tower conveys the technology vocation of the university. And lastly it motto: Doctrina Mater Artium which is a latin word means " Education is the mother of all practical arts".
